How many power plays do the Pens need to score. there’s 7.1 seconds left and this game has been crap.  It’s amazing the Penguins power play has done as well as it has this season given its lack of a right handed shot. Not even Orpik’s sweet fight could propel the Penguins to victory. This should be the last we see of Sabourin for a while. Biron had a great game. The Penguins slow start cost them.   Philly went into a defensive shell when they were up 2 goals in the 3rd. I really hate the Flyers. Pittsburgh has still won 8 of 9 against Philly, and they’ll get another shot on Saturday.  Fleury has to play well enough to stop the questions about who should play goalie for Pittsburgh. I still think the Penguins can win their division, but they have to play for a whole game. Recently it’s been either losing games with a 2-0 lead, or getting in a hole early and not recovering.  Maybe if I tape the games the Penguins will do better.  Yes I must be that important. Anyway it’s the Rangers at MSG tomorrow.   It looked like the Penguins didn’t really exert themselves so they should have plenty left in the tank for the second of back-to-back games.   The Pens have to come around in a hurry. They need a winning streak here within this streak of 8 straight divisional games. These games are worth as much as the games in March.
