Penguins look to start a new streak tonight

The Pens showed some signs of life Thursday night, beating the Islanders 3-2 in Pittsburgh.  Georges Laraque scored the game winner of a great feed from Sidney Crosby. Petr Sykora, and Sergi Gonchar also scored for Pitssburgh, and Fleury made 26 saves, and added a secondary assist on Gonchar’s goal.  Malkin assisted on Gonchar, and Sykora’s goals, and at times this season has played as well as Crosby. It was encouraging to get some production form guys other than Malkin and Crosby.  Flery appears to have gained some confidence.  If these trends continue it bodes well for the Pens.

Recchi, SYdor, and Armstrong were scratched vs. the Isles. I don’t understand why Colby doesn’t dress and Roberts plays on the second power play unit.   I hope Colby plays tonight against the Rangers.  I’ll be watching the game on DVR after work.

Last night I bussed Jaromir Jagr’s table. It was great.

my prediction for tonight: Pens 12-Rangers 3, all by Jagr who dedicates the hat trick to the buss staff at his favorite Pittsburgh restaurant.
